The Venue
Imagine a wooden terrace overlooking the sea right in the middle of a green and soft lawn.
Our location for this magical retreat is called Zen Sicily, a family business that comes from the heart. Their story begins with an old house, built in the XIX century in the middle of the Sicilian countryside. Healthy delicious food coming from their own vegetable garden cooked with love, cozy accomodations to relax and the most welcoming family ready to take care of any needs are what makes this place unique.
This venue features both indoor and outdoor yoga rooms (shalas), including all the yoga equipment that you need: mats, bolsters, blocks, blankets and more. Air conditioning and mosquito nets are also available on location. Extra treatments such as massages can also be arranged.
How to get there
Zen Sicily’s address is: Contrada Carcicera, 96017 Noto SR
The closest international airport is Catania airport. Transfer from and to the airport is included in this retreat. However, if you prefer to rent a car and get there on your own, this is certainly possible.
If you decide to take advantage of the transfer, these are the conditions:
1 October: we meet at Catania airport at 10:00am. The transfer will leave around 10:30am
4 October: we leave the venue around 12:30am. We will arrive at the airport around 1.30pm

10:30 - 11:30 AM: Transfer to Noto town*
* if you come with your own car, you have the option to meet us in Noto directly, without passing by the airport
11:30 AM - 12:30 PM: Coffee and visit of Noto
12:30 - 1:00 PM: Transfer to our venue
1:00 - 3:00 PM: Welcome lunch
3:00 - 5:00 PM: Check in and free time
5:00 - 6:00 PM: Introduction and welcome circle
6:00 - 7:00 PM: Hatha Flow
7:30 - 10:00 PM: Dinner and free time
Day 3
8.00 - 9.00 AM: Fitness class
9.00 - 10.30 AM: Breakfast
10.30 AM - 1.30 PM: Pasta making workshop
1.30 - 3.00 PM: Lunch and free time
3.00 - 7.30 PM: Free afternoon
You can decide to stay at the venue (e.g. to get a massage or get a walk in the countryside), or to explore neighbouring villages and towns*

*If you decide to go outside the venue, we can arrange the transfer for you, but it would be at your own expense of €50 (round trip)

8.00 - 9.00 AM: Vinyasa Yoga

5:30 - 7.00 PM: Fitness workshop followed by Yin Yoga

11.00 AM: Check out (we will leave the rooms but we will stay in the venue)
11.30 AM - 12.30 PM: Mindfulness exercise, sharing circle and goodbye

Alice Cascio (ITA-NL)
Let Alice take you to wonderland! Italian by blood, Dutch by address. I am a certified personal trainer and yoga teacher born and raised in the beautiful island of Sicily, but based in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) for many years now. My identity is now a joyful blend of Italian warmth and Dutch practicality, and I bring that mix of passion and balance into everything I teach. Sicily for me is not just a stunning holiday destination, it is home. And I am looking forward to giving you not only a fancy holiday, but also gifting you with a warm, magical and holistic experience that you will bring in your heart.
Like many people, I also have an office job and I truly believe in what I do behind my desk, but I also know that it can sometimes be energy draining from a physical as well as mental perspective. Thus, I enjoy complementing my office life with practicing and teaching yoga & fitness. I believe in intentional movement that supports our bodies in the long term. Because after all, this body is what carries us through life.

Open to anyone with a love for movement and curiosity about exploring yoga and fitness in a retreat setting. All levels are welcome, though a basic familiarity with physical activity is recommended. However, options and modifications will always be offered so you can adapt each session to your own body and energy level. What matters most is a willingness to move and explore, not how strong or flexible you you are.

Vinyasa yoga and fitness classes are the intense part of this retreat, meaning that you’ll sweat. However, easier options will always be offered.
Hatha, yin and nidra are the relaxing part of our retreat. We will focus on the breath and feeling calm.
Themed workshops such as tiramisù, pasta making and olive oil tasting are the most fun activities to play and feel light again.

Not at all. All activities are optional. This is your retreat, and you’re free to join as much or as little as you wish. Whether you want to move, explore the surroundings, or simply read a book under the sun, the choice is yours.
Our rule of thumb: never feel pressured to do anything that doesn’t resonate with you in that moment.

Your teacher Alice is a certified yoga teacher, personal trainer, and TRX instructor. And not only that.. she is from Sicily! The place where this retreat unfolds. As a local, she’ll be your guide to learn more about this beautiful islad. At the same time, Alice has been living abroad for over 10 years, has a cosmopolitan mind and, plot twist: she balances an office career with her yoga and fitness business, meaning that she does understand modern every day life and wants to offer you a real, effective reset to truly recharge.

The closest airport is Catania. From there, you can either take our transfer option (see next question), or rent a car or share a taxi with other participants. Closer to the retreat date we’ll create a group chat so participants can coordinate travel and share rides if they wish.

All meals are included: breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. All this delicious Italian food will be extra fresh and organic as it comes from the vegetable garden of our venue or neighbouring fields (how special is that!). Meals are by default vegetarian (vegan possible) and they can be adjusted based on your dietary preferences/requirements. No worries, we won't forget about proteins!

The most important: good vibes!
All the yoga and fitness equipment is available on location. We recommend bringing comfortable workout clothes, trainers for fitness sessions, a refillable water bottle, swimwear just in case you want to go to the beach on the 3rd day (if weather allows), a jacket for the evenings and sunscreen. A detailed packing list will be shared with participants closer to the retreat.

Your safety and peace of mind are very important to us. As stated in our Terms&Conditions, if the retreat is cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond our control your booking will be protected.
Your deposit will remain valid as a credit toward a future MoonFlow Yoga & Fitness retreat for up to 24 months. If no retreat is organised within that time, your deposit will be fully refunded. Any payments made beyond the initial deposit will be refunded.
